Like it or not, you are in a war. . . a spiritual war.  As a believer in Jesus Christ, what is our approach to this battle?  Pastor Tim Parker gives us instruction from Scripture to encourage us toward victory.

God created you for a time and purpose. Through Jesus Christ, He saves you and anoints you with His Holy Spirit to serve and fulfill His purpose and in His time.  Be who you are!  Pastor Tim uses examples from the life of King David to express how David served as he awaited God to fulfill His purpose. 

Genesis 26:18 speaks of Isaac returning to re-dig the wells his father Abraham had dug.  Apparently the wells had been stopped up by an enemy.  It's our job to dig and reopen those wells of our forefathers so that fresh water can again flow.

Proverbs 17:6 says, "Grandchildren are the crown of old men, and the glory of children is their father."  The father of Union Street Meeting House, Pastor Bill Sammons, Sr. went to glory on January 12, 2023.  Today's service is dedicated to Pastor Bill as many of us and many ministries would consider him a spiritual father. Leaving the past behind is essential for entering the new.  Jesus is making all things new!

Who would have thought that the Book of Jude would have so much significance in our age and time?  As Jude challenged the false teachings of his day, we face a similar need to contend for true faith in Jesus Christ.

Getting our soul in line to be like Christ . . . this is our greatest need.
