During this teaching, we talk about how God is for the tired, leaning into what Jesus taught about the Sabbath – how the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. This teaching came with a challenge to intentionally pursue a day of rest, and to listen to this command we tend to take as a suggestion.

In this final part of the series, we look at the hang-up: I want to believe in God, but he’s a killjoy. We talk about how Jesus wasn’t about religious rules, he was about a relationship and bringing fullness of life and joy through his transforming and saving love.

In this installment, we look at the hang-up: I want to believe in God but life isn’t fair.We talk about how, while God is a just God and doesn’t cause unfair things to happen, he uses things that aren’t fair in life to shape and strengthen us, drawing us closer to him. And, we talk about how when we celebrate Jesus, we celebrate the greatest unfair act of all – when an innocent man died for the sins of all those who weren’t innocent.
