Josh Sanchez (@sann_chezz ) at first glance one might assume he has achieved more already then most every will and you wouldn't be wrong. His bio is like a growing highlight reel. This was no accident and he is only getting started.

If you listen to his message there is a common theme, consistent hard work creates more opportunities, more opportunities to create “luck”. After playing baseball for 14 years and watching his brother who grew up playing basketball for 10, sports has been a major part of his life and he knew he wanted to stay in that environment.

Josh shares with us how athletes, big and famous, struggle with all the same mental challenges you and I face. Luckly in todays day and age its easier to have big conversations about important topics like this. Connecting sports to mental health is exactly what Josh does on his podcast and radio show Swoop Radio.

Like many of us Josh struggled with anxiety and fear due to circumstances in his life. People like his Grandmother have helped him get through it. It is the reason why it is so important for him to speak up and out about these aliments.

Speaking of consistency, Josh’s school was visited by a sports producer for ABC. He took it upon himself to stay in contact with this individual and keep working on his own show. Once an internship opened up the producer reached out to let him know and Josh took the rest from there. Once making it to the final 20 candidates Josh was given 5 mins to pitch the producers on why he was the right choice. He was able to beat out all the other candidates including ones with much more experience and better education. Proof that once given the opportunity, all you have to do is take your shot and sometimes it goes in.

Now he’s back to running his own show while being a radion host at 89.1 WYBF . He’s working hard creating opportunities and looking for the next shot to take.

Mitch Ciccarelli ( @sargeamerica ) was like most teens in highschool, ambitious with a dream but no real plan to get there. It was around this time he was asked an important question by his step dad about his ambition of being a broadcast journalist, “ how are you going to get there? “ It was after this conversation that he decides to talk to a recruiter about joining the Airforce.

It started off as a way to satisfy his parents but after failing the entrance exam it turned into more of a mission to see what he could do. His competitive nature served him because his results improved so much after a month they thought he cheated and had to retake it a 3rd time.

After 9 years in the Air Force he has grown to love the life and culture. He now in a ROTC program grooming the next line of officers where he finds great joy and fulfillment working with young adults and helping them develop.

One of the remarkable things we noticed during the interview is Mitch’s ability to keep it light and not take life so seriously. He a huge Mets fan and stays in the know with happening in sports. So much so he’s given thought to starting back up his own college career and moving towards that sports psychology degree while he climbs the ranks of the military, hopefully landing in the rare Chief Master Sergeant role.

“ you will never go back to your old life, there is a reason what happened to you happened “

Bonnie ( @poshnotions ) seems to be on a traditional path. Humble beginnings, hustling selling Avon and Pampered Chef and becoming an accountant. Life seemed to be on track being a mom of 2 but then life did that thing that it does and threw a crazy curve ball.

After a major health scare that lead to 15 days in the hospital paralyzed, she was able to make it home but life would never be the same. She was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, a chronic progressive disease causing inflammation in the joints and resulting in painful deformity and immobility, especially in the fingers, wrists, feet, and ankles.

She spent 6 years in a state of denial trying to operate at her normal pace of life but continually experienced burnout and started second guessing her path.

Garyvee has impacted many of us and Bonnie no exception. She ended up meeting him and that was the beginning of entering the “hustle and grind” ecosystem that has become so popular and glamorous today. The problem is that with her health in the state that it is, she couldn't grind and put in all the hours that the top entrepreneurs are. So he had to learn to #crushitmyway . A movement to use the best practices from the best business minds in a way that fit her life.

With this renewed direction and mindset she started reaching out to people who also struggled trauma  and/or illness hoping to share their story or pulling them out of the victim mindset. “ people often focus on their illness and forget they are in a state of healing “

“Unbreakable was born because I wanted to express the strength someone of those who are going through these things really has” We hear ads on the TV and other places all the time for many illnesses and diseases but its hard to imagine what surviving each day with them can be like.

Bonnie is working on taking the Unbreakable Campaign to the next level by creating a resource and reference center for people to use that are experiencing things like her. “You can create your own life, so why not create it”

Panic (@Panic8577)  was taught at a young age to carve his own path and try not to follow the crowd.

Growing up he would listen to artists like Anita Baker and Chaka Khan which moved him to music but as music shifted so did his interests and style. Going from a R&B soulful artist to following in the footsteps of MC Hammer and Kriss Kross. He tells out to pay attention because in the next 6 years he will have another major style shift

At the age of 15 Panic walked away from $50,000 music deal. He tells us it was one of the hardest but best decisions he's made. It has allowed him to develop as an artist and maintain his freedom to make choices.

How did he have the nerve at 15 to walk away from all that money? Well his mom once asked him about his Jordan and Nike branded shirts. He told her he wore them because he liked the brand. Her Reply was timeless “ You know why I where plan shirts? So I can Create my own” She proceeds to tell him that he should be wearing shirts with his own branding.

She was a major influence in his life, always taking him to meet people of importance and ownership. Did matter if it was a big banker or a business owner, she always made sure he was in the conversation.

You can always start somewhere seems to be good advice as he first began sharing his music at flea markets to get exposure.

Eric Duffert (@eric_d_duffert) is a serial learner turned podcaster and communications specialist. But this wasn't all intentional.

Eric transferred to Tampa University as a Sophomore, this caused him to gravitate towards the other new kids at the school, the freshmen. It was in these new friendships he met josiah cafiero, his now podcast co host.

After college they both went back to their hometowns and stayed in touch from time to time via phone call. They would discuss some of the deeper life topics and after a while decided the information being discussed was so valuable there was no reason others should get to hear it as well.

One of the things Eric claims to be a big help towards their success is staying humble and listening to their audience. You might think an idea or topic is a good idea but that doesn't mean your audience is going to enjoy it.

Listening to him now, you’d think eric was born this upbeat positive guy but thats not even close to the truth. He only developed this balanced peacefulness after a destructive downward spiral that moved him to develop his spirituality.

He now uses books from authors like Jordan Peterson, Bruce Lipton and Robert Greene to continually mold his mind.

“I wanted people to connect with their inner child because to me that’s our true self “

Yara (@yarakamal) Is the founder of Scoriaworld that was launched with a successful crowdfunding campaign that raised of $15,000. Its  an eco-conscious yoga brand focused on reconnecting people to their creativity. She had always been drawn to art and creativity but at some point in life she felt he style change and he creativity dwindle. **

At university Yara studied fashion design communication where she learned to look for trends and attempt to predict the next thing coming up in culture. It was an uncomfortable experience since it was a world of judgment. **

To get back to herself she started doing yoga as a physical practice but quickly started feeling physical results. Looking to become more creative and connect with a happier version of herself she started looking towards children's art. This is were Scoria started to form. She took the concepts from children's artwork and started translating them onto cork yoga mats with the intent that people could reconnection with a truer version of themselves during their movement practices. **

Yara explains that with creativity, as children we express ourselves freely without judgement  but as we grow older we adopt other people's expectations and beliefs losing that truest part of ourselves. There normally inst judgment in children's art. **

She has always been drawn to art, Yara started drawing at a young age and over time started sketching fashion art. Once in high school, her work shifted to a more dark, big topic style that helped express her challenges with bigger life struggles. **

Yara believes when making big shifts in life it's okay to take it slow. Whether it's adopting a yoga practice or reducing single use water bottles. **

Growing up in the culture of hip-hop, J was able to see what rappers were talking about in his everyday life. Building a fan base in his local community is a challenge though because in Philly it's everyone against everyone.**

He seems to be at his most creative during the late hours of the night, something we’ve heard many great writers also talk about. Keeping the distractions and feedback to a minimum during the writing process, J prefers to be in isolation when being creative**

One of his unique tactics is creating unique content for different platforms instead reusing everything across the board. This seems tied to his “don't take life too seriously” approach to life. “ you can be a gangster but still laugh and have fun a little” **

“Know yourself, Atleast have a starting point”

Riko (@itsrikowithak) has become a staple in Fayetteville North Carolina when it comes to Rap. When looking at some people's success it's easy to assume that they started off great or everything comes easy to them. Its often that we don't get to see what's going on behind the scenes.

Riko’s first album took 4 years to write. Seems like a drop in the bucket to his 10 year music career where things seem to be happening faster and faster where a great song can come from some luck and 20 minutes of studio time.

“Singing is a deep emotional expression for me” Riko tells us when he talks about his love for performing. Growing up he would join student governments and different contests just to be able to get on stage and be apart of something.

Riko didn't start in his small town though. He was born in Miami but prefers the small town vibe because everyone seems hungrier to get theirs and keeps the pace going.

“Its about moving creatively and efficiently to the next obstacle”

Ryan Leonardow ( @free2move_parkour) once witnessed a stranger pull a flip from a flap pole, He immediately ran up to the guy asking where he learned to do such a thing and ways pointed to a local gym.

He seemed liked a natural, mastering the back flip in one day. He gravitated to the sport of parkour and quickly jumped into the culture. He believes the Parkour community may be one of the most inviting and helpful there is.

Ever wonder how they land sick flip and sustained such insane holds? Mainly body weight exercises. Ryan primarily relies on his own weight to create the resistance required to build tremendous strength. He combines rock climbing, different parkour routines and some free running logic to create great lines and overcome challenging obstacles.

The freedom of expression and an outlet for creativity found in the sport has moved him ( no pun intended ) begin coaching children to form their own lines and fine balance.
