Into the Unknown: Paranormal Investigations & Healing Experiences with Kat Ward

What happens when a lifetime of paranormal experiences leads to a quest for real answers?

In this episode, we sit down with Kat Ward—a lifelong sensitive, paranormal investigator with the Canadian Supernatural Research Society (CSRS), and the creator and host of the Paranormal Heart Podcast.

From her early experiences with the unexplained to investigating haunted locations, Kat has dedicated her work to creating a safe space for others to share and make sense of their own paranormal encounters. A proud PNL Podcast Alumni-Network member (S2/E18), Kat’s show airs weekly on the Universal Paranormal Radio Network (UPRN) every Tuesday at 6 PM EST, following the Paranormal NL Podcast. Beyond the mic, Kat is also an accomplished voice actor, narrating Integrity: An Obsidian Guardian Novel on Audible and featuring in the horror/comedy movie Camp Smokey.

BIO:

Kat has been a paranormal experiencer and sensitive since a very young age. She grew up in New Brunswick, and now lives in Ontario, Canada. Finding answers to the unexplained led her into becoming a paranormal investigator with the Canadian Supernatural Research Society (CSRS), then starting Paranormal Heart Podcast. Kat Comforts and helps people understand their paranormal experiences. Paranormal Heart provides a safe place where people can openly talk about their paranormal encounters without being ridiculed or judged. New episodes of her Paranormal Heart Podcast are released on UPRN every Tuesday at 6PM EST. You can also find her show on her own platforms like YouTube, Podbean, & More. Kat is currently working on narrating a book series entitled The Obsidian Guardian series, written by J.B. Coates. The first book in the series called Integrity: An Obsidian Guardian Novel, is now available as an audiobook, and can be found on Audible. Kat also has a small voice over roll (Lorraine) in the horror/comedy movie Camp Smokey written and directed by Vinnie Vineyard and Luke Walker.

Who is Alana?

Alana Hurov is the founder and CEO of Niagara 5000, Canada’s supercar and luxury lifestyle experience. A former entertainment reporter and producer, Alana has combined her background in media, marketing and storytelling with her passion for Niagara to create an event that brings together world-class supercars, private aviation, marine experiences, fashion, hospitality, food and wine.

Her vision is larger than producing a two-day event. Alana is working to position Niagara as an international luxury destination while creating economic opportunities for regional businesses and supporting causes close to her family. After her daughter Katherine was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis at two years old and struggled to walk for approximately two years, Alana made supporting MacKids at McMaster Children’s Hospital a central pillar of Niagara 5000. With care from the hospital’s rheumatology team, Katherine is now a healthy, active child whose arthritis is in medicated remission.

With a deep fascination for folklore and medicinal plants, she has been studying herbalism and botany for more than thirty years. Her plant knowledge comes from a combination of experimentation, formal classes in botany, and working in the horticultural industry for fifteen years. She ran a retail nursery in Portland, Oregon, as well as in San Francisco, California, and operated her own landscaping business for more than ten years. She is also the botanical brain behind Rotten Botany, a website dedicated to unusual plants. When not writing, she can be found wandering around the Minnesota woods and tending her poison garden.
