The Light Gate Welcomes GUEST: Lee Strauss (Bigfoot/UFO researcher/experiencer/podcaster)

Date: August 24, 2026

Time: 5-7pm pacific / 8-10pm eastern

Episode 173

Discussion: Bigfoot & UFOs

ABOUT THE GUEST:

Lee is the Host of Spaced Out Radio's "Element 115," Friday evenings from 8pm-9pm Pacific. Lee's fascination with the unknown was sparked in his childhood, growing up in Washington State. Camping and hiking trips with his parents instilled in him a love for the outdoors, while his grandfather, a chief engineer at Boeing, ignited his interest in UFOs with captivating slides of sightings near Washington D.C. Influenced by his father and grandfather's passion for photography, Lee developed a keen eye for capturing life's moments. However, it wasn't until he began experiencing waking dreams that he stumbled upon a new purpose. Seeking answers, Lee joined a Meetup group for abductees and began working with Dr. Janet Colli. This journey led him to SUFON (Seattle UFO Network), where he met Tom Sanger, who gifted him his first night vision camera. Lee's first UFO sighting, captured at Mt. Baker, lasted an astonishing 15 minutes and sparked an unrelenting drive to master camera technology and capture evidence of the unknown.

As a founding member of UFOITEAM, Lee's passion continued to grow. He later branched out to form "Ander and Lee on the Trail," where he pushes the boundaries of innovation, striving to uncover evidence of UFOs and Bigfoot.

Peter was one of the executive producers on 2015's Bone Tomahawk. So far, Peter has produced seven shows with three more in the works, written five books and created a CD of poetry. Peter is a bit of a character, well known for his Western look, cigar in hand and dog by his side.

Additionally, Peter wedded his passion for entertainment and American history to form Caravan West Productions, the largest and best company to bring quality to the Hollywood Western and provide today's demanding film audience with the most authentic product possible. The taped version of his one-man show, Cody...An Evening with Buffalo Bill was performed in a chataugua and was among the top finalists in the Santa Clarita International Film Festival when produced. He also released a CD At Your Service and hosted Varmint Media's The Guns of Billy the Kid. The State of Nebraska awarded him the Buffalo Bill Award for Achievements in Family Entertainment. As a member of the U.S. Air Force, he served with the "last of the flying tigers" (the 75th F.I.S. A.D.C.), working as a radio disc jockey in Virginia before returning to college to receive a B.A. in Theatre and an M.A. in Communications.

Peter resides in Agua Dulce with his wife Susan and their menagerie of horses and dogs. Whether loading up for an entertainment project in the making or taking care of a complete petting zoo for a friend, there's never a dull moment here. "When you live in a rural landscape, it is a joy every morning that you get to create from home." Sherayko's passion for Westerns is clearly reflected in his body of work.
