True Crime with A Twist with Beverli Rhodes

July 2nd, 2025

EP: 3

Topic: Was Rob Ferrell the Vampire Cult Leader Possessed? Beverli, Akwana, Cheri and Marie will be making a deep dive into that very possibility.

Roderick Justin "Rod" Ferrell (born March 28, 1980) is an American murderer and cult leader. He was a member of a loose-knit gang of teenagers from Murray, Kentucky, known as the "Vampire Clan". Ferrell claimed to be a 500-year-old vampire named Vesago, a character he created for himself after becoming obsessed with the role playing game Vampire: The Masquerade.

Leading up to before the murders, Rod Ferrell and his group of "vampire" clan members would meet at an abandoned cement structure pinned "Hotel California". This building is located in the middle of the woods in an area called Land Between the Lakes.

These meetings would often include things like drinking each other's blood as well as other death rituals. Although no crimes have been proven to take place here, it is the most likely place where the murders were plotted.

In 1998, Ferrell pleaded guilty to the double slaying of a couple from Eustis, Florida, becoming the youngest person in Florida on Death Row at that time. Originally sentenced to death, Ferrell's penalty has since been reduced to life imprisonment. In January 2013, an appellate court dismissed attempts by Ferrell and Howard Scott Anderson to get a new sentencing hearing.

However, in December 2018, Howard Scott Anderson was resentenced by circuit judge Don Briggs to 40 years in prison. Anderson was given credit for the 22 years he has already served, making him first eligible for release in 2031.

Ruth Wendorf's relatives attended Anderson's resentencing hearing and did not oppose his early release. Speaking with the Daily Commercial, they said they are more concerned about Ferrell, who was scheduled for his own resentencing hearing in July 2019. Ferrell's hearing was subsequently rescheduled for November 18 and then again to April 2020, when the sentencing judge upheld his life without parole sentence and deemed him irreparably corrupt.

Anderson is currently incarcerated in the Calhoun Correctional Institution while Ferrell is in the Northwest Florida Reception Center Annex

Allison was born and raised in a small town of Slave Lake Alberta. It was difficult enough being an Indigenous girl - dealing with cruelty and racism – not without adding paranormal on top of that.

All her life she lived in fear of the dark, as she knew this was when “they” came to visit. She has experienced wakeful dreams, lost time and as any experiencer would, she attempted to explain her events as “dreams” …But too often she had bruises, markings, and ailments upon waking. Most of her family and friends were unaware of everything she was going through and the people she confided in didn’t believe her. So as many experiencers, she kept silent and led a “dual” life.

As time went on, Allison noticed more symptoms and strange happenings with her body. This brought her to Reiki Healing and, soon realized that energy work and helping others was her calling. Reiki has helped her remove the fear that crippled her life. Still having to navigate her life tasks and function in society she has found solace in her unique perspective to life. Since turning 50 and realizing her children are adults, she wants to share some of her experiences and insights with the hybrid program and how her ancestry has unfolded to tell an interesting story.

The Light Gate welcomes guest: Yossi Ronen, experiencer/author

Date: June 30, 2025. Time: 5-7pm pacific / 8-10pm eastern

Episode: 114

Discussion: “One: Face to Face Contact & Human Consciousness Evolution.”

Tonight, The Light Gate welcomes UFO experiencer/author Yossi Ronen. Currently, Yossi is living in Israel. He had a face-to-face encounter and communication with several aliens who appeared in his room when he lived about a year in 1981 in Los Angeles. The experience led his life on a new path. His interests have changed to independent search and learning in areas related to the encounter experience phenomena. For two years he has written articles in Alternative magazine in Israel, articles directly or indirectly related to UFO and contact or meeting the visitors, such as alternative medicine, currents in mysticism, parapsychology, oneness/God, and the Ancient secret Hebrew language. The book “ONE,” is a summary of about 40 years of study and research in the world of spirit, cognition, culture, and the human spirit in the face of the contact and to the information he received in the face-to-face contact with the visitors. The book opens a window into understanding the Multidimensional consciousness/perceptions of the visitors and the relation to the development of our human understanding of reality and consciousness. In the book, the author describes his communication with the visitors in different states of consciousness, leading to insights into their perception of reality. The encounter triggers a deep personal transformation, expanding the author's awareness and understanding of existence, reality, and interconnectedness.
