Seven Minutes Beyond Death: John J. Davis’ Journey to the Other Side

At 21 years old, John J. Davis suffered a serious moped accident that required surgery to repair torn tendons in his hand. During the operation, John experienced a severe allergic reaction to the anesthesia and was clinically dead for seven minutes.

John says those seven minutes became a vivid and detailed journey through the other side—a place of indescribable peace, love, and clarity. During the experience, he believes he was given an assignment to return and share a powerful message: there is no death.

In this live episode of ParaTruth: Reborn, John joins Justin and Erik to discuss what he encountered, how the experience transformed his Catholic upbringing, why his understanding of faith became more personal, and what he believes awaits us beyond physical life.

Guest Bio: John J. Davis was born and raised in San Jose, California, where his early life was shaped by strong family values and regular attendance at the local Catholic church—sometimes two to three times a week. His upbringing instilled in him a deep spiritual foundation, one that would later be transformed in a profound and unexpected way.

At the age of 21, John’s life took a dramatic turn following a serious moped accident. The crash resulted in torn tendons in his hand, requiring surgical repair. During the operation, John experienced a severe allergic reaction to the anesthesia and was clinically dead for seven minutes. It was during those seven minutes that John had an extraordinary and life-altering near-death experience (NDE).

According to John, what he encountered was not just a fleeting vision or abstract sensation, but a vivid, detailed journey—a tour of the other side. He describes it as a place of indescribable peace, love, and clarity. During this experience, John was given what he now sees as a divine assignment: to return and share what he had seen, to tell others that there is no such thing as death. He came to understand that our physical bodies may perish, but our souls continue on eternally.

John eventually moved to Colorado, where he continues to reflect on and speak about his experience. Though he still believes deeply in God’s love and the teachings of Jesus, his faith has taken a more personal and spiritual path, one less bound by traditional Catholic doctrine. He honors the essence of Christ’s message while stepping away from some of the dogma he once accepted without question.

Today, John Davis lives with a sense of purpose rooted in his near-death experience. Sabine Blais the founder of the Eastern Canada Sasquatch Organization and was born in Ottawa, Ontario. At an early age she developed an interest in Sasquatch and the Paranormal in general, and watched Bigfoot episodes of Leonard Nemoy's 'In Search Of' and Unsolved Mysteries during the 1970's and 90's.. She also watched the Patterson-Gimlin footage and read many books on Sasquatch encounters. She is an avid nature lover and enjoys hiking and the outdoors. Later in life she discovered and studied energy healing and nature-based spirituality. She has traveled and lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 2006 to 2011.. Upon her return to Québec, Canada she continued practicing and teaching energy healing and pagan spirituality. In 2023, she rekindled her interest in Sasquatch beings and started her own research in the Gatineau Hills in 2024. She is also the founder of the Organisation Sasquatch Québec and runs a small craft business called Le Sasquatch Trading Co. Sabine currently lives in Gatineau, Québec.
