Jesus is Risen! Today we celebrate God’s mercy towards humanity. Today, we celebrate the new life believing in Christ brings. Today, we celebrate the sacrifice a holy God gave. Today, we celebrate life in God’s Son. Today, we celebrate the great love God has towards sinners. Today, we celebrate Jesus! Jesus is alive! Ephesians 2:1 says, “1And you were dead in the trespasses and sins.” (ESV). Paul, the author of the letter to the Ephesian believers, reminds them of the great gift of salvation. Because Jesus went to the cross, took of the punishment of sin and died in humanity’s place, rose victoriously from the grave and is alive, Jesus and only Jesus can save a sinner such as me. Today, Senior Pastor, Heath Bauer leans into the truth of the resurrection.

Years ago, when I was 11 years old, I played on a little league baseball team. For me, as an 11 year old, baseball was something I really enjoyed playing. During that summer, I remember looking forward to playing on Saturday afternoon. But there was something that was threatening our game. The weather. It rained for two whole days, but I still had hope we would play. Turns out, the field was flooded, and we didn’t play. Hope. Hope looks forward to something that is unseen. What are you hoping in?
