This morning, I want to look at the first part of what it means to Cultivate Christian Love and what that means for our lives. This was going to be one long message but I felt as though it needed to be broken up into two parts, so you’ll want to be here next week as well. So let’s look at what it means to Cultivate Christian Love.

I’m happy this morning because I get to tell you the greatest news ever given to mankind. This is a Happy Day… Amen?

You see, Peter’s message to us here today sets the stage for just how important a good witness really is in this world, and in order to be a good witness, then you must have a submissive spirit that draws others to God.

So this morning, as we learn about submitting to the plan of God, we need to understand that when we submit to God’s plan, God is going to honor and bless our service and submission to Him.

This morning, in order to understand what it means to be the people of God, I want to explore five areas of our lives and how they are affected by God.

So as we look at this portion of the text, I want to focus on Jesus, the cornerstone, in an effort to teach you this morning how to be a part of the spiritual temple of the New Covenant, which is being built on the foundation of Jesus Christ.

Today, let’s take the first step to change that aspect of the church. To do so, I’d like to take this passage, 1 Peter 1:22-25, and through it, try to explain how we should love each other.
