Peter challenges us to take full advantage of the precious promises of God. He does so by giving us a few specific steps to follow and if we follow them, not only do we grow in Christ-likeness, but we also experience the assurance of eternal rewards.

Well, to face and overcome the problems from within and from without, the Christian needs to grow in Christ. You need to grow spiritually. Peter would have believers, you and I, learn the lesson of faithful living in difficult times through his writings.

This morning I want you to see how Peter helps us answer that question. “How do you replace your worry with Worship?”

This morning we’re going to be looking at the Shepherd and the Sheep, and what that means in the church today.

This morning, as we look through 1 Peter 4:12-19, I want you to examine your suffering, and to do so let me give you four points of examination.

This morning, within 1 Peter 4:7-11, Peter give us four specific instructions that we need to put into practice, but he also gives us one specific goal as well, which we will reach if we follow out these instructions and prepare for the end.

This morning, we each need to be prepared for, and armed against, the suffering that comes into our life so that we might grow in the grace God grants His suffering children and in turn… have hope.

This morning, I want to look at the first part of what it means to Cultivate Christian Love and what that means for our lives. This was going to be one long message but I felt as though it needed to be broken up into two parts, so you’ll want to be here next week as well. So let’s look at what it means to Cultivate Christian Love.
