This week we are having a unique service as we focus on Nehemiah's prayer in chapter 9, with a cast of many speakers joining in bringing the message.

Brett continued through our series in Nehemiah, focusing on Chapter 5.

"In the family of God, none of us are to be left out of the work of God."

This week Brett continued with our series in Nehemiah, focusing on Nehemiah 2:17-20, and chapters 3 and 4. 

He explained how in this section of Scripture, the entirety of the nation was coming together to build the wall and there were four main characteristics of the project:

1. Everyone has a job

2. Tasks are outlined clearly

3. Limited number of leaders, large number of workers

4. Names were named (gives credit and encouragement even decades later)

"Our prayers shape our beliefs"

This week Lew discussed Matthew 6:1-15, the Lord's Prayer, and posed the question, "Why do we struggle with prayer?" Three possible answers that he gave for this question were:

1. We don't know what to say

2. We don't believe it's effectual

3. We run out of things to say

Lew also explained the Lord's Prayer by breaking it down into six topics:

1. Worship

2. Choosing to walk in the will of God

3. Praying for what we need

4. Praying for relationships

5. Spiritual warfare

6. Worship
