    She has volunteered her time with a number of organisations and currently serves on the boards of the Science Museum (London), the Science Gallery, Kings College and Autistica. Her new book, The Athena Protocol, is a feminist thriller as the first in a Young Adult series. Shamim’s most recent feature as writer/director is Despite the Falling Snow, her first feature, ‘I Can’t Think Straight’ won 11 awards. An accomplished speaker, Shamim has spoken at TED events worldwide, at the INK Conference in India and DLD in Munich. Hanan Kattan is a serial entrepreneur and a successful film producer who produced 5 award winning movies based on her wife’s novels; with Shamim she is a member of BAFTA and Women in Film. She was selected as the UK producer for the 2015 TIFF Producers Lab.
