Throughout an absorbing conversation on the LOA Today podcast, hosts Walt Thiessen and Jodi Lynn Crave welcomed Jenny Harkleroad, a woman whose journey from chronic pain and addiction to self-discovery and healing left a profound impact.
Jenny's story began with a harrowing accident that left her with a broken back, confined to bed for nearly three years. As she recounted, "I was standing on this mountain ledge with my husband, and he totally innocently said, 'if I was young and in shape, I'd jump off of here.' And the only thing I thought is, 'I go to the gym every day. I'm young and in shape,' and I jumped."
The accident was a wake-up call for Jenny, who had been struggling with chronic pain and addiction for most of her life. "I was taking prescription pain pills when I was 12 years old, and I didn't know what was wrong with me," she shared. "I was just hurting, and I didn't know why."
It was during her recovery that Jenny met a remarkable medical doctor, Dr. Warren Jacobs, who helped her realize that her pain was not just physical, but deeply rooted in her emotional and mental state. "He said, 'you can heal yourself with your mind,'" Jenny recalled, "and I was like, 'wait, what kind of doctor are you right? And how come no other medical doctors told me this method before?'"
Through a process of muscle testing and deep emotional exploration, Jenny began to uncover the underlying causes of her pain and unhappiness. "I had all these things that weren't going right, and I was putting on a happy face and pretending everything was fine, because I didn't know how to fix everything," she said.
As Jenny worked to address these hidden emotional blocks, she made a startling discovery: "My body was giving him the answers, you know, our body knows, and so it was amazing, the process that I went through with him, and then how my life is transformed since, by healing myself and then helping others heal."
This revelation led Jenny to create her own app, Leap Transformation, which uses neuroscience and AI to help people reprogram their subconscious minds and achieve lasting change. "What I teach people to do with that 17 seconds is catch yourself, but then ask yourself this golden question, 'how would I rather feel?'" she explained.
Walt and Jodi were both deeply impressed by Jenny's story and the insights she shared. "It's really a testament of how your subconscious can support you, and that message that you can change everything when you begin with yourself," Jodi remarked.
As the conversation drew to a close, Walt expressed his gratitude for Jenny's willingness to share her journey and the valuable tools she has created to help others. "Thank you for your contribution," he said. "You're right. She nailed it. It's hard to oversell her. It really is."
