How many times can someone tell you that you have potential before you finally begin to believe it for yourself?
For decades, Donna heard the same words from different people:
“I wish you could see in yourself what I see. You have so much potential.”
But when confidence has been buried beneath years of insecurity, self-doubt, fear, and questioning your own abilities, it can be difficult to believe that there is anything extraordinary inside of you at all.
In this deeply personal episode of Unmasked by Grace, Donna reflects on the years she spent believing she wasn’t self-motivated, wasn’t confident enough, and perhaps simply wasn’t capable of doing the things others seemed to believe she could do.
But something began to change.
At 72 years old, through stepping out in faith, starting a podcast, learning new technology, sharing her story, and daring to try things she once might have talked herself out of, Donna began to discover something that had been true all along:
The ability wasn’t suddenly placed inside her. God had already put it there. She was simply beginning to believe it.
This episode is for anyone who has spent years shrinking back, questioning themselves, comparing themselves to others, or allowing fear to answer the question before they ever had the courage to try.
What if the greatest thing standing between you and what God created you to do isn’t a lack of ability—but a lifetime of believing you don’t have any?
You are not too old.
You have not missed your moment.
And you do not have to have everything figured out before you begin.
Because when God calls you to something, He is able to equip you for it.
Sometimes the journey isn’t about becoming someone new.
