Our new segment is called Quali-Tea Time because we're all about a good play on words. These short bits are going to be focused on our daily flow: what we're up to, how we're feeling, and getting vulnerable about the small day-to-day.
Today, we're talking about mental health in the new year. We're just trying to stay afloat, you know? Jade talks about her struggles with anxiety and depression, and Molly asks about supporting friends in the best way possible. Hopefully, some of this resonates with you.
We mention Amanda Gorman as well. If you haven't heard her inauguration poem, do yourself a favor.

Today, we are talking about collegiate athletes and mental health with an old friend Kaitlyn Sowyrda. Natalie & I were classmates with Kaitlyn at Grafton High School in Massachusetts. Kaitlyn & I were captains on the same soccer team our senior year. It's been nearly a decade since the three of us have been in the same (virtual) room.
Kaitlyn brings a unique perspective on her mental health journey, but one that she speaks to so well that anyone can relate (athlete or not). Check out this episode to learn more about her story.
