Davide Cultrera joins us on Episode 6 for a beautiful and open talk. Born and raised in Italy, his global citizenship journey started when he attended the United World College in Trieste before heading to Cambridge, in the UK for university.

Fast forward to today, Davide has been living and working in Japan for the past 6 years. He has turned a difficult moment, the pandemic lockdown, into a beautiful moment of acceptance, and growth. He used the time to open himself up to new experiences and challenges - fully embracing living in Japan and now calls it his second home.

After completing her PhD at Stanford, she moved to Switzerland where she is now a post-doc at ETH Zurich, specializing in volcanoes.

What really stood out in our conversation with Ying Qi is her ability to meet new people, and how she’s able to build a new network of friends everywhere she goes. Although this did not come naturally for her at first, it was developed through experience.

Our guest today is Sandra Camacho, who has called many places home. She is as multicultural it gets as an American, Colombian, and French citizen.

An Ex-Googler turned Social Entrepreneur. Her work focuses on Inclusive Design with the mission to help organizations design more inclusive products, form healthier work cultures and boost innovation.

Sandra has been an immigrant twice. The first time at a young age, when her family moved from Colombia to the US, and later in her professional career when she decided to move to Paris for her love of the French language and culture.

Her story is one of how you can channel your global citizenship skills into advantages in your professional career.

There isn't just one definition of a global citizen. That’s why we will be unpacking another aspect of being a global citizen with someone who grew up in between nations without a passport.

In this episode, we talk to Tashi Wangmo, a global citizen born and raised in the refugee community. Tashi grew up in a Tibetan refugee community in India with her parents while the rest of her family were dispersed worldwide in various diaspora communities.

She received scholarships that took her around the world, attending boarding school in the UK and university in the US. Today she works in the education space as a Learning Product Lead for a leading management consulting firm in Boston.
