A friendly chat between a Coalition government and the union movement over industrial relations might seem as likely as hell freezing over.

But COVID-19 has changed lots of things, and this week Scott Morrison said a discussion with unions is exactly what he'd like to see happen.

Union leaders are already wary, but say they'll participate.
