Nick shares how his experience joining the fire department is especially unique, as he initially saw himself joining the arts or possibly law enforcement. His father, former NYPD Detective influenced him to give it a shot. He opens up about how his career has evolved over time, especially during 9/11 and the pandemic.

Ebert shares how his goals have changed and transformed since his freshman year of college due to studying abroad during the pandemic, experience finding an internship, and advice from his father. He is incredibly grateful that his advertising and media company can help out his community, as he believes that small businesses are the foundation of the economy. Ebert shares how he started Driven Media and his vision for the company after he graduates.

Host Nicole Davison is joined by Samantha Berry, a Marketing major at Quinnipiac University. Berry shares how Carrie Bradshaw inspired her dream of living in New York City as a Marketing Director.

As a college senior, Berry’s view on her education, career, and workforce completely transformed when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Despite the uncertainty, by surrounding herself with goal-oriented women in her sorority and growing her record painting business on the side, Berry persevered.

Berry continues to evaluate her purpose and has taken the pressure off of the idea of the “perfect job” since the pandemic. Although the pandemic was lonesome, she recognizes how she has grown from it and is excited for her future ahead of her.

Even amidst the busiest and happiest times of our lives grief and sadness have ways of creeping in. It is important to find compassion for others, even on days where it feels like the world is crumbling around you.

I am so inspired by my guest on today's episode, Ashley Palumbo.  We talk about so many different things from college to her career in tv production and more because I simply love her story on so many levels!  

As a Career Coach, I get the opportunity to work with a lot of clients, and every aspect of Ashley's career journey I find absolutely inspiring. In this episode of Unpacking Perspectives, We unpack Ashley's career and life experience into where she started, where she is now, and how our life's journey can often take us down a path that we never even planned for.  

From the start of her career, entering an industry that so many only dream of, to at one point, walking away to find a balance in her life.  In every part of this story, you can find inspiration.

Host, Nicole Davison opens up about her journey with anxiety and how she has learned to cope with it. 

Throughout her life, she has interacted with many clients, students, and friends who are on all ends of the spectrum of anxiety.  Anxiety is different for everyone, some have struggled with it for years while others experience waves of it. Everyone copes differently. 

With Nicole, at times, she just needs to get out of her head. It is difficult to escape the little voice in your head in the 21st century with social media’s large presence. She shares moments she has felt alone, and how comments like “get over it” or “calm down” have impacted her. 

Nicole sheds a light on her anxiety growing up versus now, and how she copes with it. Through this episode, she aims to help those who experience anxiety recognize that they are not alone. You can do this. You are loved. You are not a burden. You matter. It is okay to ask for help when you need it.
