When you're expected to take a vaccine in order to retain your freedom of mobility, you have every right to ask questions about the public facing data. Public conversation is what holds public health and other government organizations to account. It's not only your right, it is your societal duty to force these conversations to the top of the news cycle.

In this episode, I sit down with Dr.Andrew Appleton to discuss the politics of healthcare. We cover topics like the bureaucracy of Ontario Hospitals, financial incentives for COVID-19, the potential loss of Physician/Patient Autonomy, and the notion that Physicians profit from keeping people sick.

I don’t pretend to understand all there is to know about CRT and what it means to implement it into our schools, but I have learned enough to be concerned. Whether my concerns are justified or not, I cannot know for certain. I hope this piece is viewed as being thoughtfully constructed in good faith by a father of three who takes these matters seriously. While I certainly express strong opinions in this post, they are only opinions, and I have done my best to be diplomatic. If you disagree with my concerns, educate me. If your instinct is to attack me for having a point of view, you should investigate why that might be. I will make the last point that I am not a person of colour. I can’t speak to the experiences and challenges that different races face in our education system, and I don’t pretend to be in a position to do so. I am only speaking to my concerns over what this Bill could mean or become, and I believe it is essential to have the conversation openly.

What is happening in the Ukraine is both unfortunate and complex. I don't pretend to have the insights and answers necessary to properly navigate the situation. What I do know is that Putin is not the only monger responsible for the deaths of innocent people, and I'm also unsure that taking action against Russian athletes or businesses in North America or Europe is a net positive. In this episode I am merely thinking out loud on this topic and hoping to highlight some of the hypocrisies we are broadly overlooking.

War is wrong. Full Stop. But what is happening in Ukraine right now, as awful as it is, is being used to gloss over the hypocritical nature of our government. From sneaky legislation, to cover ups, to flat out lies- our leaders are getting away with their own authoritarianism.
