We're finishing up our reading of "A Shade of Vampire" by Bella Forrest. In these chapters, Derek learns more about why Sofia is so "special" as does her new psychologist. She eventually escapes the Shade while declaring her love for Derek -- happy endings for all?

In our reading of chapters 19 - 25 of "A Shade of Vampire" by Bella Forest, we learn more about Derek's background. Basically, he was a farmer. That's it. He's also a passionate musician. His entire personality can be summed up as a cross between Chicago and the Godfather. Wow, amazing.

In our fourth reading of A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forest, we cover chapters 12 - 18. Sofia is finally in the Shade with Derek. Of course, she tries to escape immediately. It doesn't go well, but she does enjoy high-quality vampire lip balm.

As we read chapters 7 - 11 of A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrest, Derek Novak finally wakes up. Sophia is instantly attracted to him because she's kind and likes to hold hands. He's instantly jealous of her hand-holding abilities and insists she only holds his hand indefinitely. Such a meet-cute.
