My not-so-eloquent thoughts here. Usually I sign off on Sundays after the morning podcast with my father, but the emergency we're in is really hitting home.

As is always the case this podcast is low tech and unedited. Today is Sunday which means its time for the Father and Son chat with my old man. Upon seeing the news of thousands of MAGA supporters rolling into Portland last night, I had to ask the question: is this the start of a civil conflict? Will we look back a year from now and say "August 29th, 2020 was the night things truly began to come undone."

We discuss the past Civil War and the fundamental differences. We discuss Critical Theory which is far more radical than Marx could have dreamed and we discussed how we got here and what could come next. 

At the end, I argue briefly that these destruction-minded terrorists have a vision and they, with perfidious intentions and commendable patience, brought us to this point through decades of work changing: schooling, language, and culture. They were never confused and they were never out of lockstep. The only way to hold them at bay is to meet them in kind, and while we're nearly out of time, we are smart enough to win this. 

As always I predicate this by reminding people I'm a regular guy with a job, which meant today I was/am particularly tired as I just got off a 20 hour shift, subpar technology for podcasting and little know how. That being said, Sunday is Sunday which means the chat with the old man. 

But before he joined me I went over the latest news involving Portland where terrorists continue to storm residential areas, now with weapons of all kinds, demanding people leave their homes. And we discussed the murder of a 5 year old boy earlier in the week and the unfortunate reality that if the tables were turned-if the boy was black, and the man was white-it would mean even more violence in the streets.

When my father joins us we discuss the Great Reset, the looming breaking point, and whether or not America can endure this attack on what is left of its freedom and if we lose it, will we ever be able to get it back?

On this hot Monday, August 17, 2020, Zay gets another dystopian week started with a glass of bourbon and covers some of the crazy:

1. The USPS non-scandal. Specifically, the states where boxes are being removed are a mix of blue and red states, so where is the scandal? Oh right, there isn't one.

2. AOC is a terrorist and meets the literally definition for supporting domestic terrorists who are terrorizing communities to achieve political change. Looting, killing, and violence are all things AOC supports.

3. Austin, TX slashed its police budget in half while city council members keep armed security and then extend draconian restrictions until Dec 31st.

4. And my roommates and friends continue to work from home with no pants and one even gets to make twice what I make as an essential worker for literally doing nothing all day. And we workers have the distinct honor of financing the freeloaders so....that's cool!

Its Sunday again which means two things: 

1. I enter the dystopian world of suck again tomorrow as I head back to work and have to glove up, mask up, and suit up all for the illusion of protection.

And more importantly...

2. I have the Sunday edition of Whatcha Know: Sunday Father & Son Chat.

Today my old man and I talk about Israel, the peace deal and the implications for the Region. We discuss Obama's criminality during his term-cash payments to Iran etc, and how if Obama had brokered such a deal he would have gotten two Nobel Peace Prizes. No such admiration should be expected for Trump. 

We shift to discuss the strange choice of Harris as a VP. Does the establishment want Trump to win in order to sow more seeds of discord? Are the Marxists at it again with their maniacal tactics? What will the conventions look like? Will they happen? Does Kanye West have a chance at all or is he really having a manic episode? 

We discussed the defunding of the police, most recently here in Austin and touched on my criminal representative in District 4 here in Austin, the one, and unfortunately not the only, thuggish Marxist Greg Casar who has, despite over a month of my efforts, refused to have even a 10 minute zoom meeting with me.

As per usual this is recorded and not edited. I'm a regular guy working very hard and giving podcasting a try as a way to communicate thoughts and observations in a raw, real life manner. So keep that in mind when listening. 

This Sunday's Father and Son chat centers around family life in the 1950s. How things were a bit simpler although not perfect. How the culture has changed to include the government and its agencies being held as more important than family and community. We get started with a review of the riots ongoing in Portland, Oregon before my father calls in. 

As always, I enjoy listening to him. We do look at history through rose tinted glasses at times but in many ways even the decade I grew up in-the 1990s-was healthier and more human.

Today its just Zay reviewing some headlines: the possibility of Rep. Bass being the VP pick, the Minneapolis crime wave and the ridiculous advice from authorities to cave to criminals and more. We take a listen to then regular guy, now emerging politician, Mark Robinson of North Carolina as he spoke in the Spring of 2018 at a city council meeting regarding gun control and made the points that democratic officials wish to punish the law abiding people, reward criminals, and demonize the police. FAST FORWARD to the present moment where Mark was spot on only its much worse. We glorify terrorists, they're trying to dismantle the police, and take away the individuals right to defend their life and property. Mark was spot on and I would love to talk to him on or off the record to revisit that impromptu speech and see how it resonates today.

I briefly discuss the election, and as always the encroaching Marxist takeover, and how electing conservatives in the autumn is our only hope to stave off complete dictatorship.

Its a busy life working in as a front line employee in the medical industry these days so in addition to knowing little about creating great sounding podcasts (although I am learning) and social media platforms (I am reluctantly learning) its tough to find time to plan. That being said, we begin today's show with a little rundown of a couple of headlines from The Daily Wire, and then my father and I get into American attitudes, how they have changed, and while we talk in broad terms, at the core of the discussion is the question: in the event we needed to band together as a people as we did in WWII, could we do it again? 

As these segments continue we will get more and more specific and organized. Regardless, it was a great Sunday morning chat and at this stage in my father's life I am just happy for the wisdom and time.
