On the morning of March 4th 1980, in Stevenage England, a milkman is heading to work when he sees smoke coming out of someone’s window, and hears a child screaming. He rushes and breaks the door down, finding a crying little girl, badly burned, and waiting in the stairs: after being rescued, 4 YO Amanda Wright is now the only witness of what really set off the fire in the home that night, unveiling a murder so disturbing that the truth of the events would only come out 36 years later, and bring to justice her mom’s killer for a second time.

On the late evening of November 29, 1992, a man opens his front door to discover two little boys shivering and covered in blood in an Atlanta suburb. 3 and a half years earlier, Sara Tokars hires a private investigator to follow her husband who she thinks is dangerous and unfaithful. The young mom discovers many dark secrets, including his criminal lifestyle, which would lead her to do anything she can to protect her sons, even if it meant dying while doing so.

Houston, Texas, 1986: 14YO Laurie Tremblay is murdered. The case goes cold, and years pass with more bodies discovered, without any clues on who the killer is. Meanwhile, young Tiffany Shore moves in with her dad after her parent's divorce. She starts to realize he is not as fun as she remembered. More and more controlling, he makes a habit of locking his daughters inside the house when he leaves. As his behaviour becomes increasingly strange and overprotective, the Tourniquet Killer claims more victims: surviving her dad’s sudden rages will actually be the key to solving the terrifying serial killer case.

It’s just before 6:30 AM on October 5th, 1976 when young mother Jane Carson is blindfolded and attacked with her 3YO son in the house. She is victim #5.
2 months later, 15 YO Kris Pedretti stops playing piano, thinking she heard something in the other room, despite being alone in her house. She is victim #10.
A year later, true crime fan Margaret Wardlow studies this serial killer, not knowing that she would become the 27th victim of the man she had read so much about.
He's been known under many different names: the Visalia ransacker, the East Area Rapist, the Original Night Stalker or the Golden State Killer, but 44 years later, 200 witnesses stand in front of him to make sure justice is served.

On November 11th 2010, cops enter Tina Hermann’s home after receiving a 911 call from her manager Valerie, who reported how unusual it was for her to miss a day’s work without telling anyone. The house is empty, and Tina and her entire family are gone: a suspicious scene reveals bloodstains, motor oil, a Walmart receipt, a missing car, but most shockingly, a women-size shoe print leaving the home, meaning someone walked out of there, alive, and as the community begins to hunt for the missing family, time is running out for Sarah, who is now trapped in ‘the house of leaves.’
