Edith is a first generation Mexican American woman from South Texas. Her experiences have led to practicing sustainability in cooking, art and upcycling clothing. She’s an aspiring writer, focusing on storytelling about identity, esotericism and latinidad.

She's an aspiring writer, a sometimes comedian, and is on a mission to radicalize everyone into taking public transportation. You may know her from her major accomplishments which include going through Invisalign for two years, sewing a pillowcase without a zipper, and the thick, hunky cucumbers she’s growing in her garden.

We're doing something a little different for this bonus episode, ya'll.

May is always a tender and busy time for our family. We have work deadlines, thousands of school events, birthdays, Mother's Day - and Britt's mom's birthday on May 20th. This sweet woman (named Mom/Jeanne/Grammy) passed away from pancreatic cancer on July 13, 2023.

This week's pod features one of Unsent's BFFs, Merissa Cope (they/them)!

Merissa and their partner are the first ones to buy tix to every show, and Unsent just wouldn't be the same without their beautiful faces in the audience!

Not only does Merissa show up for Unsent in every way, they also got on stage at our Sex Edition on Sept 21st, 2024 at Town Hall Collaborative in Denver, Colorado.

Merissa is a non-binary non-monogamous lover of feelings and whimsy. They are also a sex therapist, professor, dog dad, climber, and a thrifter, amongst other things. This was the first time they got on the mic in about 10 years, and the first time ever that they've talked about their gender on stage!

Andrea is a Middle School educator by day who loves to bring her spunky and creative energy after school onto the stage. She performs improv comedy with two main troupes:

Subtext Improv performs book themed improv at Fiction Beer and the What If Theatre monthly.

And District 9 Comedy, Denver's longest running all BIPOC team, performs monthly at RISE Comedy and all over town. Outside of comedy, Andrea is a state champion skeeball player.

Abby Templeton Greene is a Denver native, and the Co-founder and Co-Executive Director of Sidewalk Poets, a Denver based nonprofit organization that believes in the transformative power of art and storytelling.

She is the author of three books of poetry and has over 17 years of classroom teaching experience teaching in Title 1 public schools. According to her 9 year old son some of her favorite things to do are: eating food outside, spray painting metal things and sometimes taking naps.

Fun fact: Not only did Abby get on the mic at our Money Show on April 25, 2025 at Town Hall Collaborative in Denver, Abby and Courtney of Sidewalk Poets also partnered with us on this special show!

We had a beautiful time at our Unsent Money Show on April 25 at Town Hall Collaborative in Denver, CO. And the audience was the best! In fact, they were so good, we made a whole podcast featuring their unsents!

At every Unsent Live Show, we hand each audience member a piece of paper and pencil and encourage them to write anonymous unsent messages that host Britt reads aloud on stage between each Unsent reader!
