Not one, not two, but THREE facts about ducks that will have you saying "this is quack!"

JUST THE FACTS:

It's important for survival for ducklings to stick together. So much so that the baby fowls coordinate their hatching by communicating with one another while they are still in their eggs! The range of subtle sounds the ducks make in their eggs is called pipping.

Ducks have regional accents that mimic the accents of people in their area. A study out of Middlesex University compared quacks of ducks in the heart of London and the countryside. The study found city ducks had a more aggressive, gruff sounding quack compared to the more relaxed sound of the country ducks.

Sarah is not a whopper fanatic, but she is a bonsai fact finder!

FACT 1: Bonsai is the Japanese art of shaping trees in container. It is believed if you can grow a bonsai, you can obtain mortality.

FACT 2: Bonsai trees are not dwarf trees. It is through the containers and careful cutting on leaves, limbs, and roots that make over 400 variety of trees "bonsai"

FACT 1: People might think they're spooky looking, but squids and octopuses have a lot of heart. Three in fact! Octopuses and squid all have three hearts: one for pumping blood throughout their bodies, and one for each of their gills.

FACT 2: Heart attacks are most likely to happen on Monday mornings. This is because Stress hormones are higher in the mornings, and Mondays are more stressful than any other day of the week. Stress hormones plus increased heart rate cause a break in the plaque that can lead to a blockage of the heart. 

Plus Ms Patricia and Maggie are developing a great friendship.
