This is not an *episode*, but one of my book note voice memos, so if you're a 聽listener uninterested in my books, characters, and storylines, feel free to skip it. If you want more details about what my "book note voice memos" are, you can find it here.
This voiced book note was recorded during the writing process of THE BLACK WOLF, the 5th book in my series, In the Company of Killers. You will hear me talking about what Victor thinks about Nora - and Izabel! I talk about the supposed death of a particular character, and I ponder the idea of just who in the hell is Vonnegut going to be. Because I'll be honest with you all: I never knew myself who Vonnegut was until the final book, THE DARKEST HALF. All throughout the series, I had a few ideas about who I wanted him to be, but as the storylines unfolded, I kept changing my mind. In this voice memo, I also talk about how I planned to manipulate you, the reader! 馃懣
Be warned, this audio file contains a lot of vulgar language because I've always been somewhat of a potty mouth - I make no apologies! 馃拃
Also, be warned - If you haven't read the final book in the series, THE DARKEST HALF, it's perfectly OK to listen to this file, but I don't recommend reading any of the comments posted regarding the file because there will likely be spoilers!
THE BLACK WOLF was published on June 30, 2015. The voiced book note here had to have been recorded in 2015 as well, but the properties of the file have different, conflicting dates that don't make any sense, as you can see in the screenshot attached. It wasn't recorded in 2020 and definitely wasn't modified in 2012 because the series didn't even exist. So, the only thing I can assume is that during one of the numerous times I've moved these files to different PCs and such, somehow, the dates got screwy. Likely, all of my voiced book notes will have weird dates like this one, but I'll do my best to give the most accurate date possible for when each file was recorded.
