This episode explores the first stage of the Creative Superhero Journey: Backstory. In the superhero world, Backstory encompasses the early experiences, whether traumatic or otherwise, that shape the rest of the hero’s story. Every Backstory includes Treasures and Traps, the positive and negative influences that come from our families and communities. Treasures and Traps can both be useful as you go through your Creative Superhero Journey; the key is to remember that you can choose how you let them affect you. Backstory is the starting place from which you can decide where your creative journey will take you.
