A new viral video shows something we've never even thought of or noticed...the hand gesture we commonly use for, 'phone', has seemingly changed. Jason from TX recently posted a pic of he and his wife on a date night. They had some service issues at a restaurant, and while they were waiting a while for something of the server, he took a pic and tweeted it. The internet did what the internet does, and ate-him-up. Even worse than the internet haters, was his wife didn't know the pic was being taken, much less being posted. We talked about the story and then talked to Jason himself. Huge lesson learned and a hopefully a couple dozen roses later, we'll see what happens.

Well, I suppose you could look at it that more streets are opening, or more streets are closing, cause it's kinda both the case. Last week, SLO City started a program to close down traffic on Monterey St for a block to leave more room to walk and eat for people and businesses. That street closure this weekend moves also to Higuera, as the typical Farmer's Market traffic closure will be in effect every weekend for at least the next year.

We are sad here to miss the Mid State Fair this year, but its great what they are doing to keep that spirit alive beginning this weekend.
