Welcome to Upbeat Brew Review.  We’re the Windholz Brothers, Jon & Luke.  Thanks for checking us out.  

This podcast started because we love beer, we love drinking beer, we love listening to podcasts, and thought, what if we started a podcast about our love of beer?  And then the negative reality thoughts came pouring in.  Why the hell would anyone listen to you talk about anything, Jon?  Well, I don’t have an answer, but my gut told me to go for it.

I believe there is too much negativity in the world.  Especially in the beer world.  You’re either an elitist or a purist, in either domestic or craft circles.  I’ve never met a beer I couldn’t boogie with.  I have my preferences, but those usually change with how the planets are aligned when I’m ordering or at the liquor store.  I can’t explain it.

Luke, on the other hand, goes for things he knows he will like.  And that’s great!  Go with what you know!

I don’t care what you’re drinking, tell me about it!  It could be the brave, hip, new thing on the craft scene, or a Coors Light.  If you found something enjoyable about it, that’s all that matters.  This is beer we’re talking about, meant to be enjoyed and appreciated.  A lot of time and work went into crafting it, let’s all appreciate it.

I only ask that you’re respectful with our choices.  If you disagree, that’s like, your opinion, man.  But, like all opinions, it will be respected unless disrespectful.  We won’t disrespect your opinion, we’ll simply ignore it.  And if you don’t like that we’re ignoring it, well, start your own podcast.

We’re not claiming to be experts on beer, we just love drinking it.  We’re learning as we go.
