The annual consumer inflation remain steady at 3.2% in February 2025, unchanged from January. That's according to a data from Statistics South Africa. The main contributors to inflation in the month came from housing and utilities, food, non-alcoholic beverages, restaurants and accommodation services. Inflation remains broadly under control and well below the Reserve Bank's midpoint target. Stats SA CPI operations director Lekau Ranoto says recreation, sport and culture, food and non-alcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages and tobacco and communication recorded higher annual inflation rates in February.
