Outgoing U.S. Ambassador Ebrahim Rasool's privileges and diplomatic immunities will cease after the State Department indicated that it will no longer recognize him as a member of the South Africa Embassy. Rasool is expected to depart the country ahead of a March 21st deadline. Northern Cape police are looking for two men suspects who robbed private mortuary in Kuruman and stole of three corpses. Gauteng Finance and Economic Development MEC Lebogang Maile has tabled a half a trillion rand budget over three years for the Gauteng provincial government.  He announced this during his 2025 Budget speech in the Gauteng Legislature in Johannesburg. Gauteng Education Department received the biggest allocation of more than 69-billion for the 2025/26 financial year. With Health coming second and receiving 66-bilion rand for the current financial year. The trial of the suspects in the disppearance of Joshlin Smith has resumed in the Western Cape High Court, sitting in Saldanha, on the Cape West Coast. The court heard shocking testimony from a number of witnesses last week, including allegations that the 7-year-old'd mother allegedly sold her for twenty thousand rand. Kelly Smith, her boyfriend, Jacquen "Boeta" Appollis and Steveno van Rhyn, are on trial following Joshlin's disappearance from the Middlepos informal settlement last February. COSATU in the Western Cape says expelled ambassador to America, Ebrahim Rasool, will receive a hero's welcome when he returns to the province. Addressing the media following the conclusion of it's 6-th provincial conference, it says the matter of Rasool is part of international resolutions the federation took as part of its congress.
