Public Works and Infrastructure Minister, Patricia De Lille is expected to visit parts of KwaZulu-Natal tomorrow in order to make available land parcels for the resettlement of those most affected by the recent floods in the province. The visit forms part of government's efforts to assist the thounsands of people that have been displaced after their houses were damaged or destroyed during the floods. De Lille is also expected to visit and assess some of the bridges that have gone repairs after they were damaged. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to De Lille on the upcoming trip.

EFF leader Julius Malema has told members of the media that a manhunt continuing for the killers of the daughter of the party's former secretary general. Hillary Gardee, the 28-year-old daughter of Godrich Gardee was found dead on Tuesday after she was abducted in Mbombela last Friday. Malema and other senior party leaders including his deputy Floyd Shivambu and the party's former Chairperson Dali Mpofu visited the Gardee home in Mbombela to pay their respects. NPO, Missing Children South Africa says it roughly records between 60 and 90 missing people cases per month. This comes as police in Bishop Lavis in Cape Town are searching for a two-month-old baby who was snatched from her pram at a retail store. In another case, the daughter of the former Economic Freedom Fighters secretary-general Godrich Gardee has also been reported missing. It is understood that she was last seen at a retail store in Nelspruit where she and her daughter went missing on Friday. Her three-year-old child was found stranded on the street on the same day of their disappearance.  ANC veteran Dr Snuki Zikalala has also weighed into the booing of President Cyril Ramaphosa at the weekend by calling for those involved in the organisation of the event to account. President Ramaphosa had to be escorted  out of the Royal Bafokeng stadium on Sunday during May Day Commemorations in the North West. Political commentators have since described the organisation of the event by COSATU as a blunder while the SACP labelled the actions of the workers as justified. Political analyst and lecturer at the Nelson Mandela University, Dr Ntsikelelo Breakfast says the upcoming policy conference of the ANC is going to be a political battleground between Presdient Ramaphosa's faction and that which opposes him.  The ANC in the Eastern Cape has called on Police Minister, Bheki Cele to send a special team of investigators as more and more members are gunned down in the province. This comes as a police search is underway for suspects linked to the murder of two ANC members in the Nelson Mandela Bay region of the Eastern Cape. The 45-year-old ward councillor Andile Andries and 41-year-old branch secretary, Lubabalo Keso, died in a hail of bullets in KwaNobuhle on Monday. Several unknown gunmen in a minibus taxi allegedly attacked them as they came out a house in Kariega, after which then fled the scene. EFF has confirmed that Hillary Gardee - the daughter of former EFF Secretary General, Attorney Godrich Gardee - has died. In a statement, the EFF says the body of the 28-year-old student was found outside Mbombela in Mpumalanga after she had gone missing on Friday. She was last seen shopping at a plaza in Mbombela. Gardee was with a three-year-old girl when she went missing, but the child was later found. For more on this, Jon Gericke spoke to EFF Spokesperson, Sinawo Thambo.

Speculation is rife that President Cyril Ramaphosa is fast losing the trust of some within the tripartite alliance. Political Analysts say this could change drastically, if he prioritises the needs of the working class in South Africa. This comes after he was booed off stage at Cosatu's main May Day celebration at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in the North West province on Sunday.  Ekurhuleni Emergency Services staff woke up today to make a gruesome discovery of four bodies including that of an infant when they extinguished a fire at the Marathon Informal Settlement in Germiston, east of Johannesburg. The children - aged nine, seven and two - as well as a forty-three year-old woman, were found burned beyond recognition.
