A crowd funding has been suggested for the Eastern Cape mother who fataly stabbed a man and wounded two others‚ allegedly when she found them gang-raping her 27-year-old daughter. The incident occurred at an unoccupied house in the Qumbu administrative area in Zwartwater‚ near Komani‚ at the weekend. The woman‚ who is from Lady Frere‚ was arrested on Saturday and appeared in the Lady Frere Magistrate's Court on Monday and was released on R500 bail.

She is not being named to protect the identity of her daughter‚ as she is believed to be the victim of a sexual offence.

All fingers have pointed at former SABC COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng in the Labour Court in Johannesburg on the matter of the SABC 8. Unions, Solidarity and Bemawu want Motsoeneng as well as former News Executive Simon Tebele and the SABC, to be held liable for the legal costs incurred over the dismissal of the SABC 8. The National Director of Public Prosecution Shaun Abrahams has revealed that there are eight legs to investigations of state capture which the Hawks are currently looking into. Abrahams was briefing the portfolio committee on Justice and correctional Services on the performance of the NPA in the first quarter of the current financial year. He says investigations on state capture are related to allegations made by former ANC MP Mentor Vytjie, former Deputy Finance Minister, Mcebisi Jonas, Transnet and Trillian together with Tegeta and Eskom amongst others. A two-year-old toddler from Bhamshela near Othongathi in northern KwaZulu-Natal has died after being bitten by a rabid dog. Nkosinathi Mzimela was playing with other children when the incident occurred.
