The West Coast Rock Lobster, best known as kreef is now clarified under the seafood we should not buy. In their campaign called skip the kreef this summer, WWF South Africa says the Lobster has now been moved to the Southern African Sustainable Seafood Initiative's red list. A mother who abandoned her newborn baby in a minibus taxi at the Pavilion shopping centre two weeks ago is expected to appear in court today. The baby was found with a note from his mother apologising for abandoning him and asking for forgiveness. The National Consumer Commission (NCC) has met up with Ford South Africa to discuss the increasing incidents of the burning of Ford Kuga. In an email sent to us, Ford SA says they take the safety of their customers very seriously and are committed to addressing potential issues and responding quickly. Humanitarian aid organisation Gift of the Givers says a malnutritioned seven month old baby girl who was buried under the rubble following a bomb attack is being treated at its Ar Rahma hospital in Alepo, Syria. The organisation says the girl's mother was killed in the attack. Gift of the Givers has been running two hospitals in the war-torn country and has appealed to the public to support efforts to help trapped civilians. The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) has urged parents to ensure their children are supervised around inland and coastal waters. There have been separate incidents where children have drowned over the weekend. A four-year-old boy is still missing (**please update) after he was allegedly swept out to sea at Pearl Bay in Yzerfontein on the West Coast. Another child aged between nine and ten drowned while swimming in the Wilderness Lagoon near George in the Southern Cape.
