The Right2Know Campaign (R2K) wants the State Security Minister David Mahlobo to explain exactly what his department's relationship is with the SABC. This follows evidence that emerged during the SABC 8 submission in parliament that the government spies were brought into the SABC building to investigate staff members that were suspected of being whistle-blowers. Eskom has confirmed that it will invite bids this week to build nuclear reactors. The Department of International Relations and Co-operation (DIRCO) says claims that the former Vice President of South Sudan, Riek Machar is under house arrest in Pretoria, are not true. Media reports say the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (an eight-country East African group) had asked Pretoria to make sure Machar did not leave. He was previously fired as the Vice President of South Sudan in July 2013. The Head of Public Policy at DIRCO, Clayson Monyela joins us on the line to tell us more.
