Ooh, this topic has been on my mind for a hot lil minute.
I've been noticing online how people give different brands/businesses the "crying laughing" emoji -- and NOT in a nice way.
As it always is with people being less than kind, it's about them, NOT us.
And the more we put ourselves out there, the more of these kinds of reactions we are opening ourselves up to.
(I've been stepping into being more visible online, and I seem to be getting more trolls and haterade thrown my way.)
I WANT TO ENCOURAGE YOU ALL TO NOT LET THAT STOP YOU.
This is a price we pay to get our message out in front of the world.
This is part of the "shit sandwich" (as Liz Gilbert talks about) of doing business.
Are you going to let salty, dissatisfied people stop you from doing work you love in the world?
I fucking hope not!
Today's episode is about AIMING to get these types of reactions, bc when we do, we'll know that we're REALLY putting ourselves and the message that wants to come through us out there.
Much love, and enjoy the episode! Feel free to share any thoughts and comments over on Facebook or Instagram.

Have you heard? Dream Insurance is almost here. What's Dream Insurance you ask?
It's a new online course for new, up-and-coming artrepreneurs (that's artist entrepreneurs) like you!
It gives you the productivity tips and mindset strategies I've used to grow my business over the last few years and that have helped me stay on my game, even when it's CRICKETS in the biz.
I'm initially offering it at a sick, no-brainer price..basically makin' you an awfa you CAN'T refuse. (Well, you'd be cray to anyway.)
#COMINGSOON
This realization has been BIG for me this year:
As ambitious people, we're always going to want more. And if we're never really going to feel like we've "made it"...what if we just crowned ourselves as having made it NOW?!
I mean, we're in the game. Even if we're just starting out beginning our business, we're waking up each day and putting the work in. Putting the soul in.
A LOT...MEANING MOST PEOPLE..don't do that.
We're hanging out with other people who are building their dreams, upleveling our minds, making our lives what we want them to be from the little things to the big things.
That, to me, is making it. Especially when there's always going to be some new level to "make it" to.
Just some food for thought.

Anyway, Dream Insurance, my new online course about that very topic ^^ (plus time and mindset mastery) is launching so soon. Like, this week soon. I think. Yes. Maybe. Definitely. I'll let ya know. Hahaha.
Super close though, for real. Can't wait to share with you!

Building a dream takes time. It takes consistency.
How do you do that when you've got a lot going on?
You simply make time. No if ands or buts about it.
Listen to this episode for some time-manifesting strategies. :)
This is the book I mention by the lovely Marie Forleo (Everything is Figureoutable).
Also, re. her online business school (that's way more fun than actual business school...I would imagine...idk I didn't get an MBA.)..
She offers Bschool in the first half of each year, but check out info on it now so you don't miss a chance to sign up! (Again, totally not sponsored - I just did BSchool myself back in '16 and really had a great experience with it.)

Today's episode is mainly for those of us who only have social media because we use it to support our businesses/art....but also admit we're at least semi-addicted like everyone else...and hate that. Bc who wants to be like everyone else?
Anyway. Here's a little trick I've been using that often helps me kick the smedia cravings.

Soo, I actually recorded this one before I recorded last week's episode (well, in the same night), but wanted to get last week's ode to October out first since it was the top of the month.
Genuinely feels uh-maaazing to be back and connecting with you all again.
I'm sharing about where I had been before I came out of hiatus last week, the funk I went through, and the relief I always feel every time post-funk that the fire in my belly is still there.
It's there for you, too. I know it.
Sending you SO much love to you wherever you are and whatever you're going through.
We're in this thing together. For real.
Love,
Erica

The year may not be over until December 31st, and while some of us like to work just as much during the holiday season, for many of us, October (and perhaps the first half of November) are the last BIG SPLASH we'll make on our goals/desires/projects/etc. this year.
Let that sink in.
We're in October NOW.
If you like the idea of making things happen in your life by the end of this year, what are those things, why do you want them, why now?
Also, what lessons have you already learned this year, in these last 9 months, that you can implement and use as fuel and wisdom to help make those goals easier/more fun/more fulfilling/more efficient/etc. to attain?

Just another person sharing her story with therapy to normalize and humanize it. :)
