Founded in 1973 after the simple act of a mother publicly supporting her gay son, PFLAG is the nation's largest family and ally organization. PFLAG is the first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people, their parents and families, and allies. With over 400 chapters and 200,000 members and supporters crossing multiple generations of families in major urban centers, small cities, and rural areas across America, PFLAG is committed to creating a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed. This vast grassroots network is cultivated, resourced, and serviced by the staff of PFLAG National, the National Board of Directors, and the all-volunteer Regional Directors Council. LGBTQ Northwest Indiana's Primary Mission is to provide support, education and resources to the LGBTQ+ community support groups, workshops, special topics and an online resource directory will serve to fulfill our primary mission. Promote LGBTQ+ community visibility, acceptance and equality The LGBTQ+ community is a valid and tangible contributor to the Northwest Indiana area. With visibility comes acceptance, with acceptance comes equality.Foster the awareness of, and provide education about the LGBTQ+ community in Northwest Indiana. The community is not just the LGBTQ+ community; it is everyone living and working in the Northwest Indiana area. Removing the stigmas and phobias, and changing the negative assumptions and beliefs is goal of this mission.Advocate for human rights and equalityThe LGBTQ+ community is diverse, just as the community at-large in Northwest Indiana is also diverse. The rights of all in the community must be protected and normalized. We are all equals.

Katie's Kampaign is an organization that provide support to those who are struggling with mental illness or addiction. Named after Tal's step sister who passed from an overdose after struggling with several forms mental illness. Katie's Kampaign is here to support those who fight, comfort the families that have lost, and spread the awareness to the world. There is no case to small. You may feel alone but know YOU ARE NEVER ALONE.

This site is a place to reach out to the community for support. Reach out and feel the light of the community, you can soon see that the war you are fighting inside, you have allies and you are not the only one! Katie's Kampaign is more than a group or organization, it is a support team, a family. We are aimed to helping with addiction, mental illness, depression or any demons that weigh the soul. Katie's Kampaign is built on the work and impression of one beautiful soul. Katie Sitzes IS the inspiration to many. Over the course of several years Katie faced her inner demons head on. Struggling with mental illness, depression, anxiety and addiction. She fought and fought hard, even when she couldn't motivate herself to go on, she stood tall and help others up. She was a rock and shoulder when anyone needed her.
