Upstate Music Mine

What's up UMMPod Nation?!  We're keeping it all in the family so far in May, as our featured artist this week, Waterspout, is fronted by Matthew McCreight, the son of Evan's Dilemma's Joel McCreight (our featured artist last week).

Matthew aka "The Taco Prince", has many musical projects he's involved with (Waterspout being 1 of 9).  He's a multi-instrumentalist and details his musical background a bit during our interview.  Enjoy Waterspout's original track "Colors".

After our interview with Matthew, we jump into 'This Day in Music' and wrap up today's show!

Thank you for listening, see you next week!

Whats good UMMPod Nation!?  This week's show features the longest-tenured original rock band in the Upstate, Evan's Dilemma.

Evan's Dilemma has been rocking the Upstate music scene (and beyond) since the late 80's! Their 90's alternative rock sound is clean, catchy, original, and refreshingly familiar.

In yet another special edition episode, we feature our first miniature round table with the artist (Joel McCreight of Evan's Dilemma) while overviewing Evan's Dilemma's vast influential journey and playing some of their songs along the way.

We had a great time talking with Joel, and learned so much about not only the band, but the early Upstate SC and Alternative music scenes. Also, much thanks to Joel for giving us the exclusive first release of a track from an upcoming album at a date TBD!!

Thank you UMMPod Nation! Thank you to all our wonderful sponsors (Local Cue, Doc's Tavern, Carolina Bauernhaus, Golden Grove Farm and Brew, Audiovisions Entertainment)

See you next week!!

Today's episode features an upcoming Indie/Electronic/Alternative band from the Upstate, known as 'The Lost Foxes'.   We had the pleasure of doing our first zoom call interview on the show, so stay tuned for some potential video content/clips from the interview!

The three guys that make of 'The Lost Foxes' are a trio from friends from grade school/church that began making music together a few years ago, and are beginning to find their sound.  Enjoy their most popular track, "Long Ride" during today's interview!

After our feature on the band, Dr. Luvbeatz and I go into some Upstate Music Awards talk (ceremony is Sunday, April 2nd, at The Peace Center) and into our favorite segment, 'This Day In Music'.

After highlighting a couple specific shows, we throw another alley oop to our partners at palmettoshowcase.com for your weekly music schedule!

Thank you UMMPod Nation! We'll see you at the UMA's or shortly thereafter for our Upstate Music Award recap!

Man, do we have a killer show for you today!  We're excited to have our first double artist feature of the season, as we present to you: The one and only (Guitar)Tim Lee and Mr. Andrew Wakefield!

These two are both fantastic artists in the area who have some brand new material to share with you!

We begin with a nice conversation with our friend, Tim Lee, as we detail his new EP entitled 'Guitars'.  It's always a blast talking with Tim, and this time was no exception.  Enjoy the first track from his new release called "Singing my songs".

After our chat with Tim, we got to sit down with another fantastic artist from the region, Andrew Wakefield.  He self-describes his sound as Bluegrass-ish, and it lends true to the name.  Special thanks to Andrew for letting us give you the first sneak peak from his upcoming album with an unreleased track from his record!

After our interviews, Dr. Luvbeatz and I have some fun during our 'This Day in Music' segment and wrap up the show!
