"Hopscotch Bop": a skip down memory lane.
This song captures the essence of joy and curiosity that childhood brings. As the notes dance and the rhythm grooves, you find yourself hopping and bopping to the beat like nobody's watching. The song weaves a tale of simplicity, a reminder that amidst chaos, there's beauty in embracing the basics. • Ted Taforo, Efajemue & Zephyr Avalon - Dog Dad
Here's the first track off Ted Taforo's next album in line titled "Bacon Lettuce & Tmrw" which will be released over the next few months via Urban Waves Records.
Dog Dad is dedicated to our recently deceased and much loved dog Darcy. The tune features Zephyr Avalon on bass and Efajemue on drums.
The music combines influences and elements from Lofi hip hop with more traditional harmonic jazz structures. You can hear some of Darcy's last few barks on earth recorded accidentally in the piano mic, about an hour before he passed away.
Dog Dad is a bittersweet song full of energy and love that sweeps the listeners off their feet for a short but meaningful while with jazzed beats and catchy melodies.

  • ddddeeeellllaaa - Blue
And we are officially back from our Summer Break! To hit the new season off, we're starting with the first single from our new series "Beats Nouveau"! Inspired by Art Nouveau, the idea was to make a series that explores the progression and innovation within an existing art form in this case Lofi Beats.
To start off the new series we have a beautiful track by ddddeeeellllaaa!
Blue was created while remembering the night scene of Tokyo during the artist’s student life. Back then he used to play in a club called “Blue” which was a cool Jazz venue in Minami Aoyama that hosted great live events and parties in the late 90s and early 2000s. This era of the artist’s life is very nostalgic and he translated this feeling through this new track as an homage.
