‘Piece of Mind’ conveys a warm laid back, yet also refreshing, vibrant sound. The Vermont-based guitarist SoBe teamed up with Danish producer Axian. Together they charm the listeners with lush guitars and beautiful ambiance accompanied by punchy drums playing a swung feel.

The inspiration for „Piece of Mind“ was drawn from an introspective state of mind and how it can be shown in an uplifting light. The track is an homage to solitude that beautifully blends the two artists identities together.

This song explores the artists’ relationship with capitalism in the United States. The composition invites the listener into an introspective space with alternating vocal and instrumental sections, drawing from influences of 70’s funk/fusion by Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter as well as classic Hollywood film orchestration by Henry Mancini. The song features keyboards and a synth solo by Telemakus as well as vocals, keyboards, and horns by Ted Taforo and drums, and production by Efajemue.

This is the second single from the upcoming Jazz album by Ted Taforo and Efajemue.

The music in this collection includes songs which were written as recently as this past year and some which were written as long as ten years ago. We explored our relationship to space in terms of distance, as some songs were recorded live in person, others assembled remotely due the constraints of the pandemic. Our goal in the production of these compositions was to create organic material which blends elements of improvised language with processed electronic textures.

The idea for the song came when dela was playing with his daughter and imagining her in the future when she’d be all grown up. He caught himself daydreaming about it. And that feeling transformed into a song. Everything is played on the keyboard, including the piano, organ, bass and beats. He also sampled sounds from the everyday life to add a groove and lively atmosphere. DaYdrEaM is a playful and loving track that dela wrote for his daughter and it shares this warm feeling with the listeners.

"Horizon" is a laid-back, lofi-hip-hop track that captures the essence of chill vibes with a touch of charisma. Produced by the talented trio of Jonah Malcom, Axian, and Rodd, this digital song exudes a sense of ease and relaxation. The airy, dream-like soundscape, paired with a steady beat and smooth jazz-inspired instrumentation, creates an uplifting, optimistic energy. With a hint of rebelliousness, the track's playful undertones make it disrespectfully hip. "Horizon" is the perfect soundtrack for those looking to unwind, relax, and let loose in a carefree, feel-good manner.

“Is it You” is a track that represents Unwind Project really well. It’s a mix of Jazz Soul Beats and with a touch of hip hop. The first half was built upon samples and loop while the second half of the song is much more improvised and playful on the melodies. The idea with “Is it You” was to convey Chill Vibes while maintaining the Unwind Project unique style. The producers drew inspiration from artists such as FKJ, Two Another & Naji while producing the track.

Produced by three upcoming South-Korean artists. “The Path” is a joyful and nostalgic electronic jazz fusion song. It started with Protonebula recording the piano that was used for the intro and break and her catchy melodic keys never disappoint. Then Eun and Glance added their distinct producing styles with their signature use of vibrant sounds, ear catching drums and fun chord progressions. Their goal was to properly utilize the main piano to be the driving force from beginning to end. Leaving us with a super pleasing and amazing song!

April Showers Bring May Flowers is a bouncy beat that elevates your spirit and provides an optimistic sonic backdrop to any occasion. Uplifting acoustic strums fill the gaps between a syncopated garage rhythm as other instruments come and go throughout the ride. An innovative track by invention_ that never ceases to surprise and impress the listeners with simplicity and lightheartedness.

Journey to the Treasures is a jazz song inspired by what are known as Lao Tzu’s three treasures "Compassion, Modesty and Frugality". The song lies somewhere between dream and reality. Ted and Efa charm the listeners with an uptempo vibe, captivating compositions and solos that are simply magic. This track is also the first single from their upcoming Jazz album titled "Teleporting" releasing in June this year.

DRWN. & dharā's new song is titled “Pretty Bird” as an homage to nature and the animal kingdom. It represents the peace and tranquility that the artists find when they step out of their home into the green. The pleasant guitar paired with nature sounds and a chill drumloop, should further emphasize this emotional state. As we reconnect with nature, taking a deep breath, listening to birds sing and wind blowing on leaves is one of the best way to relax and feel good. This track is an homage to that feeling.
