A US airman missing after a fighter jet was shot down in Iran has been rescued.

Officials said the rescue followed a two-day race between US and Iranian forces to reach him first - involving hundreds of special operations troops.

Meanwhile, strikes by the US, Iran and Israel have continued this weekend - with President Donald Trump renewing a threat overnight to target critical infrastructure if Iran fails to re-open the Strait of Hormuz by Tuesday.
