American swimmer Anita Alvarez was competing in the World Aquatic Championships in Budapest, Hungary, when she suddenly lost consciousness and sank to the bottom of the pool. Andrea Fuentes, Alvarez’s coach, immediately dove into the water and pulled Alvarez to the surface.
