The Pentagon has reportedly ordered hundreds of active-duty U-S soldiers to prepare for a possible deployment to Minnesota following widespread protests at the weekend.

There have been demonstrations every day since the Department of Homeland Security ramped up immigration enforcement in the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Protests have also intensified since the fatal shooting of 37-year-old American citizen Renee Good by an ICE officer earlier this month.
