VISIT MCMINNVILLE HIRES WINE INDUSTRY EXECUTIVEAS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR(McMinnville, Ore.) - Visit McMinnville, the newly formed tourism bureau and destination marketing organization for McMinnville's tourism industry, announced today that Jeff Knapp has accepted an offer to serve as the organization's first executive director.“The Visit McMinnville board of directors is thrilled to have found a leader and business development professional of Jeff's caliber,” said Erin Stephenson, Visit McMinnville board chair and co-owner of Third Street Flats. “Visit McMinnville's mission is to enhance our local economy through the promotion of tourism. We take this responsibility very seriously, and we are confident Jeff's leadership, creativity, and business development expertise will lead the organization and McMinnville's tourism industry to a bright and successful future.”Since 2008, Knapp has served as the director of consumer relations for the award-winning Sokol Blosser Winery in Dundee, Oregon. In that role, Jeff was instrumental in helping the company achieve its growth objectives by overseeing a variety of business development and strategic planning responsibilities.
