On Monday, May 11th, at approximately 3:22 a.m. the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle, rollover crash the 15000 block of NW Baker Creek Road in rural McMinnville. Upon arrival, deputies determined the driver was deceased and a second subject had sustained serious inj uries. A third subject, also injured, was found walking down Baker Creek Road by deputies a short time later. The passengers were identified as 19 year old Dylan Nymeyer and 20 year old Mitchel Graham. The deceased driver was identified as 20 year old Parker Wold. Graham was transported to the Willamette Valley Medical Center by ambulance and Nymeyer was flown to a Portland hospital via Life Flight. All three subjects involved in the crash are residents of McMinnville. The Yamhill County Multi-Agency Traffic Team (MATT) was activated to investigate the crash. The case is ongoing at this time; however, initial indications are that speed and alcohol may have been factors. "These types of crashes are always hard to cope with because they are so preventable." said Sheriff Tim Svenson. "Initial indicators show alcohol may have been a factor. I hope with high school graduations looming, that this unfortunate incident will be a reminder for young folks in our community to celebrate safely."
