Commercial Structure fire:  Barn FireSheridan Fire was dispatched at 07:04 PM on a Commercial fire near the intersection of Enterprise Rd  and Beck Rd.  Crews from Sheridan Fire District, Dallas Fire, Dayton Fire, South West Polk Fire District, OregonPolk County Sheriffs Office (traffic control), West Valley Fire and McMinnville Fire Department have responded, with other departments shifting to cover the rest of the county.  Callers reported a barn on fire with a barn and a silo in close proximity, fire spreading to a field.Responding units could see a thick black column of smoke and flames coming from the scene and upon arrival found a fully involved barn (100 by 70) on fire  with fire spreading into a field, the two other structures were not involved. The field fire was quickly extinguished with occasional spot fires from drifting embers as the incident progressed.  The field fire was limited to a quarter of an acre. A rural water shuttle was established to help supply water to the scene. The crews are focusing their efforts on getting the fire under and  protecting the other barn and the silo.  We are estimating to be on scene for at least another hour, fire is contained and we are working on putting out hot spots at this time.Sheridan Fire would like to thank our Neighbouring departments for ensuring our citizens’ needs were met.
