  • Oh Lord, our Lord - Psalm 8
Almost 33 years ago we as a family were driving around for days looking for a church that suited us. We had just moved into a new area… We were asking the Lord to guide us where to worship Him. And one day as we were driving, all of a sudden, we all said and agreed, yes, this is the church. This is the church where the Lord wants us to worship Him... So, on Sunday we went to that church and as the service started this song is what they sang:
“How Majestic Is Your Name O Lord, our Lord.
How majestic is Your Name in all the earth"
The lyrics of that song really moved our hearts and with tears of adoration we sang, my wife and I looked at each other and said: “This is home!”

  • Pentecost and the New Baptism - Romans 8:14-17
It's Pentecost and we think about the Holy Spirit and wind and flames, but it appears that in Romans 8 Paul divides people into two categories:
One. - Those who are dominated by their sinful nature and
Two. - Those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit.
    So, where do you fit?

  • Believing in Gods Blessings - Psalm 67
Our culture more than any other before seems to insist: “Be gracious to me.” We need to get out of the idolatry of “me”, we need to get to the point, to move to the point of caring enough for the other that we instead say : “Be gracious to you.” But even better than that, would be to simply go and join hands and together ask: “Be gracious to us.” So, remember, God's blessings, God's plans are for and include all of us!

  • God's Persistence overcomes our Resistance - Acts 11:1-18
When Peter brought the news of Cornelius’s conversion back to Jerusalem, the believers were shocked because Peter had eaten with Gentiles. I have to ask: How open are you to God doing a new thing in your life, how open are you to being with new and different believers?

  • Peter's Advice - 1 Peter 5:1-11
Well, it's Mother's Day, so Happy Mother's Day!
As I write this, I’m fully aware that not everyone has had a good relationship with their mother, I’m fully aware that not every mother has or had a good relationship with their offspring, and I am fully aware that not all those in the role of mother are parents or women. I am also aware that our God, who we call Father, who we call Jesus, who we call the Holy Spirit is the ultimate caring, present, loving parent we could ever hope for...Today's message is titled: Peter's advice and 1st Peter 5:1-11 is our Scripture.

  • Jesus The Root Of Love - John 21:1-19
Peter had denied Jesus three times before the rooster crowed. And now on the beach, after His resurrection, Jesus appears to His disciples for a third time and here Jesus asks Peter three times if he loved him. When Peter answered yes, Jesus told him to feed his sheep. It is one thing to say you love Jesus, but the real test; the real test, is willingness to serve him no matter what.
