Groveway Community Group is an organization in the heart of Roswell that has been here for over 80 years, serving unmet – but important – needs. Groveway Community is an historically Black community in Roswell that dates back to the 1800’s.

Gail Bohanan speaks from our pulpit about the history of the community, some from personal experience, and of the organization. This episode  provides a unique opportunity for us to learn our history from a different perspective.

We gathered in nature with Rev. Dave Dunn, Mandi Winders, Alex Pietsch and the Chalice Choir to share our music, poetry, puffins, and plans to reconnect with Planet Earth. A NOTE ABOUT THE AUDIO: this is what might be thought of as a "sound verite" episode. It is what a condenser mic on a phone picked up, and the resulting edited version is something of a "salvage mission," where the voices compete with the surrounding participants. Contrary to the service title, there will be very little "song" heard this week. An apparent issue with our Livestream bandwidth resulted in sub-par audio, and thus we are unable to bring you the sort of musical treat we experienced live in the Sanctuary.
