"I see...rapists." – Eugene S. Robinson 08.03.2025Once again we offer you all apologies this week for issues with the show. Recording in Poland this week didn’t go well for video quality, lighting and some audio sections, and the worst part is the end of the show was cut short, so you don’t get a proper summary of the week to come or a “Don’t die Blondie”, or “Look What You Made Me Do!!!”This is June, I have been searching for some time for a new production process for the show. If you have any recommendations email me at [email protected]. Here are my search criteria… 1. cheap or free platform, preferably online web based, not an app2. allows me to join Eugene on the same platform in real time in the background to deal with starting, pausing, stopping the show and troubleshooting tech issues so all he has to do is be told when to talk and tell me when he is done talking3. Allows me to record the live show to a local file so I can do post-production immediately after we wrap - I want both audio and video, and ideally my audio track vs Eugene’s audio track, or the ability to isolate the music from the voice track (currently YT makes me wait minimum 24 hours processing time to even download the show). 4. This is key, I need to be able to play my high quality album version of the Stigmata intro for 30-40 seconds, loud and clean through my blackhole setup so Eugene and the audience can hear it, but so Eugene can shout and sing over top of it AND be seen while doing so on his end of the broadcast, I do not want to just play a black screen over the audio and not be able to integrate Eugene on top of the track. 5. We need to be able to stream live to YT - with Eugene able to SEE the YT comments LIVE during the live show and interact with his OG Commenters. 6. I need to be able to message Eugene on the backend when it’s time for him to wrap the free preview at 18-20 mins and urge the audience to subscribe to substack for the remainder of the show, then cut the live feed and keep recording the full hour plus show private. Wrap it. 7. Cut Eugene loose and then be able to do my post-production work, graphics, motion graphics, etcetera (in Adobe Premiere Pro) before uploading the finished versions to Substack and our RSS feed. 8. Ideally this platform also lets me make a couple of brief reels of the live portion of the show to be emailed to Eugene for him to post weekly on twitter and insta, in addition to the free teaser I already create in iMovie and post to fb and yt each week. BONUS: If I can find a platform that offers all kinds of post-production (like animated overlays, graphic overlays, effect overlays, intro .mov tack ons, outro .mov or .mp4 tack ons, the ability to edit those intros or outros with new images each week to update the substack, insta and graphics portions) well enough that I can do away with adobe premiere pro - then I can quit subscribing to that adobe system hog that takes hours to encode and render files and hours for me to then upload them to substack and YouTube, the show is taking me an absurd amount of production time and I want to cut that since I only charge $100 an episode for the work.Anyone have any recommendations for me? I’ve even asked ChatGPT, and that did not pan out well, lol.And don’t say streamyard, I practiced with it for nine hours straight this past weekend thinking I had the solution to everything, but I never once could get one Stigmata file (and I made a large variety of audio tracks in different formats) to play worth shit, which is a deal breaker for me. Worse case scenario I find something that can do all but play the intro music, and I will have to keep adding it into the Final Cut post-production like I do now, and Eugene keep playing it on his phone, hopefully in a way that I can finally isolate that music and omit it to replace with my file. Right now the music and his voice are on one audio track and I am manually ducking before and after every word he speaks and under dubbing the audio track.
