This episode we interview Andres Yauri, a Venezuelan bassoonist who received his early musical training through the world-renowned El Sistema programme and at the Simón Bolívar Conservatoire. We discuss the history of the organisation that started his musical journey, how the pandemic has effected the career of freelancers and his involvement in the Nucleo Project.

After a slightly longer than planned absence VaCO Soundbites is back with our first episode of 2022. This week we're joined by Bea Hubble, the newly appointed head of education at Sound and Music to talk about her work with the National Open Youth Orchestra, her experiences of VaCO and to ask what do we mean when we use the term inclusion?
