This week we are covering chapters 26 - 29! The attempt on killing Vesperus didn't take, so it's time to try again! Ithan is disgusted with himself for what he did, so he heads back to CC to try to make ammends. Bryce is able to open a portal back home using Verperus' coffin and she apologizes to Az and Nesta. She lands in Papa Autumn King's House and he's holding her captive.

Welcome to House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J. Maas!

This week we are covering chapters 23 - 25! Lidia releases Irithys and has the old hag, Hilde, remove her slave collar. Irithys decides to kill her. Lidia tells her the entire plan and leaves to create a diversion. Ithan didn't mean to kill Sigrid but the Viper Queen honored the deal and let them leave and the sprites light her place on fire prior to leaving. Az, Bryce and Nesta stumple upon a sarcophogus that happens to have an Asteri inside and Bryce lets her out to get her questions answered. We get information on their power and the cauldron and on Bryce's magic.

Welcome to House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J. Maas!

This week we are covering chapters 20 - 22! Ithan and Sigrid are throwing down and Ithan is about to get in a killing blow, but will he? Silene fills us in on the rest of the story of Theia, Pelias and Aidas and the fight with the Asteri. Ruhn, Hunt and Baxian are trying to escape, but Rigelus swings by before they can get very far. He demands some of Hunt's lightning or he's going to kill one of the other two, so Hunt agrees. Nesta figures out the the Horn is in Bryce's tattoo and now does not trust her to not let Rigelus into their world.

Welcome to House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J. Maas!

This week we are covering chapters 17 - 19! Wow, there's a lot to unpack.  Bryce, Az and Nesta are finally getting the answers they need.  The Horn is part of the Dread Trove, Prythian was able to defeat the Daglan (Asteri) at one point, Theia isn't really a good person AT ALL and The Prison serves a purpose more than housing criminals.  Ithan needs to fight Sigrid in order to leave the meat market and Pollux tells Lidia that the Asteri have been able to fix the Harpy.

Welcome to House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J. Maas!

This week we are covering chapters 14 - 16! Byrce has lured the Middengard Wyrm to them and escapes while Az and Nesta are fighting it. Guilt gets the better of her and she goes back to rescue them, but turns out, they actually lured her back to them (Mind blown!). Nesta puts on the mask to defeat the wyrm. Lidia and Ruhn speak but it's about as productive as....well, nothing. Bryce, Nesta and Azriel exchange information on their gods and the cauldron to try to make connections between their worlds.

This week we are covering chapters 11 - 13! Bryce continues to be in awe of the carvings within the caves. Her star leads them to jump into a river, which then reveals Azriel was with them the entire time. He has both the dagger and the starsword and they are buzzing to be with each other which makes Azriel very jumpy. The Viper Queen agrees to meet with Ithan and he asks for them all to be freed, including Tharion.  She agrees, if he is willing to fight for her private viewing.

This week we are covering chapters 8 - 10!  2 Princes from Hel come meet Hunt and inform him that Bryce is not there, but they have suspicions on where she might be. They tell him to "stay alive." Lidia shows up to meet with Ithan and Tharion and tells them the truth about herself and how they can help Ruhn.  She hopes they show up to the Eternal palace to help them escape.  Bryce and Nesta are still wandering the tunnels and Bryce is able to decipher carvings and what they might mean.

This week we are covering chapters 5 - 7! Ithan and the crew end up hurting Sabine pretty badly, but not convinced she is dead. The Viper Queen takes them to Tharion. The Hind asks Regelus for the help of the fire sprite queen, Irithys to break Hunt and his friends. Bryce decides to take on the depths of the mountan but Nesta finds her and they begin traveling through the tunnels together to find a way out when they meet the Middengard Wyrm.

This week we are covering chapters 2 - 4! Tharion is beginning to regret defecting from the River Queen and now is stuck in the Viper Queen's ring night after night. Declan, Ithan and Tristan are currently babysitting Sigrid, the alpha wolf, when Sabine sends a pack of wolves after them. Bryce's tattoo is in a language that Amren recognizes which makes them super suspicious.  Ruhn, Hunt and Baxian are in rough shape and the punishment keeps on coming.

This week we are covering the prologue and chapter 1! We are in for a ride with this book.  We start off strong in these chapters.  The fae kings meet with the Asteri and they are super disapointed in their sons behavior. Lidia has been put in charge of interrogating Hunt, Ruhn and Baxian. Bryce talks to Amren, Rhys and Azriel about the sword, Queen Theia and the Asteri and they discover that their worlds are much more in common than they thought.
